I am passionate about teaching students one-on-one, or in very small groups because I enjoy helping others and seeing how they get it. Therefore, your child will benefit not only from my knowledge base but also from my commitment to help you child to improve him/herself.
I am currently working on a daily basis at A+ Tutoring Center, Westminster, as a math and physics teacher/tutor. Here I help students in grades VII-XII who are enrolled in courses ranging from prealgebra all the way to AP calculus BC or AP physics. Therefore, most likely I have seen the academic problems that your child struggles to master.
I have extensive experience, especially in the area of mathematics, where I can assist a student from middle school all the way to sophomore year of college. I dealt with all kinds of students, with different motivations: some needed homework help while others were falling behind and needed systematic help to pass. Most students I help just want the extra confidence in order to ace an upcoming quiz or test so that they can increase their grades. Whatever age or knowledge base your child has, I can help him/her to reach and exceed his/her academic potential.
I discovered my tutoring passion in high school when I took two optional peer-tutoring courses where I was aiding the math teachers in the process of teaching freshmen students. During my engineering program I took six advanced math courses at a university renowned for its math department. I also applied math and physics concepts throughout my undergraduate and engineering work experience. In my senior year I worked at my university as a tutor for first-year engineering students. I gained extensive one-on-one experience while providing them with math and physics help and aiding them in their transition process.
