I have a great belief in education and am always learning myself. Currently I am attending Cal State Teach, an online teacher credential program, in order to earn a multiple subject credential and teach elementary school. I have worked at Cal State Fullerton assisting students with academic planning; also with community college students to ensure an efficient transfer with articulated lower division coursework completed. I was trained by Princeton review to teach test preparation for SAT; have taken and passed the CBEST, and multiple subject CSET. I have a master's degree in history and have extensive coursework in theatre arts.

Elementary (K-6th)

I possess a 30 day substitute credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing; I am currently in a credential program to receive a multiple subject credential to teach elementary school. I spend 2-3 days a week working in a first grade classroom; I have also worked in both 2nd and 3rd grade. I have experience with lesson planning and school reading intervention programs.

Phonics

I took an 8 hour seminar in language acquisition; I have worked with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders on phonetics; I am currently in an elementary teaching credential program and have completed coursework in language acquisition and language arts, which includes phonics.

CBEST

I have taken and passed the CBEST test, one sitting, first time. The test is required in CA for all future teachers (K-12); it includes basic math, reading, and writing skills; essentially elementary level.
