My name is Steve R. and I am ready to serve your learning needs. I have tutored math at all levels for twenty years and taught in the classroom for six years. My approach to math concepts is to make learning meaningful and fun. These ends can be achieved by connecting with the student's interests, examining real-world applications, and relying on each student's recognition of how each new skill fits into the whole of mathematics.
Before I became a math teacher, I served in a number of capacities which provided skills, knowledge and ability readily brought to bear in one-on-one sessions--from assuring quality in a machine shop to fixing electronics to blending nutritional ingredients, there is a wide array of examples where knowledge of math principles can lead to success.
Every student struggles with material at some point. My aim is to make the learning process as joyful as it is productive.
