History does not have to be boring, Writing does not have to be a chore, and learning can be a very rewarding experience. I love to teach and get great joy from seeing my students develop and grow in their subjects. I have a BA from California State University and Ashford University in History and a Master's Degree in Education from Ashford. I am currently working to complete my Credentialing Program. My focus in the classroom is on the student as an individual, and on the use of technology in education.
My love of History is lifelong and I look at my research and study of it like an adventure, with new and exciting discoveries around every corner. I can help you develop an appreciation for History as well. I can help you see that the stories and people that make us who we are today are as exciting and relevant as any adventure you see in Movies or TV, that through the study and research of history you will be better prepared to make the choices that will be before you in the future.
I am currently teaching Creative Writing, and love the process of writing. Developing those skills as well as verbal communication skills can become your greatest tools in education and life. From an Early age I have had a love for the the study of History. Growing up near the Southern U.S. I was always surrounded by rich history and a desire to learn more. I graduated with a BS in History and later received a Masters in Education with the goal of helping others understand and love the rich and colorful History of this great country we live in. Since completing my Masters I have worked as a tutor in both History and Writing, making the study of History enjoyable and the research and writing of the past am adventure rather than a chore.

World History is an exciting and dynamic subject. In World History we explore and investigate the development of human society and cultures from their earliest beginnings, throughout time , until today. In World History we explore different cultures and beliefs, understanding the influence that each has on the other an how they have developed over time. By using anthropology and archaeology , we piece together a wonderful puzzle of who we are. World History allows us a place to study and understand the ever changing geopolitical environment that we live in and how as societies and cultures we must learn from our past in order to secure a better and brighter future.
