Teaching is my passion, and my time as a teacher is a fulfilling experience. I encourage interactive and fun learning with my students. I am able to help students understand their work better and expand their knowledge in the subject. Lessons are planned and tailored specially for individual students according to their level and needs.
I chose to teach because I connect very well with children, and being a mother myself, I am very involved with my own child's education as well as that of my students.

Mathematics or any other subject is actually fun, provided one understands the logic behind the subject. Math not only increases our ability to calculate, but the principles can be applied in real life which helps with planning strategies, evaluations, and analysis all of which are essential for decision making. I have taught many students who were not able to perform well in math and science. However, my teaching techniques will not only remove their fear and confusion of the subjects but they will enjoy them. Learning is never static and to be an effective educator, I keep up-to-date on the latest methods and theories and constantly research on subjects to expand on incorporating new fun materials and prevent boredom.

I have taught in Fremont Elementary schools,a program with the department of the City Of Fremont, other high schools and tutored privately for over 15 years. I teach to all diverse groups of 4th, 5th and 6th grade students and some high school students. I implement techniques to help the student with book reports, and precise note taking. I make learning a very easy process using visual and hands-on tools and methods which help the student retain information making a difference in their grades and understanding. My goal is to assist students and help them reach their fullest potential, prepare them for the next grade and upcoming curriculum and ultimately they become mature, confident self-learners.

Reading

Comprehension is the ultimate key to reading. While developing an understanding for the subject, the student will learn to apply grammar and vocabulary to the fill in blanks and answer passage questions. It is important to test the student to assess the progress of the understanding they develop of reading and overcome any anxiety of tests. Exercises with fill in the blanks from a key bank are also helpful in developing reading skills and understanding.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have tutored a number of students in elementary level including my own son. My students come to me when they struggle with certain subjects, my job is to improve their understanding of the subject and do better with their performance in school without a struggle. Phonics

Identifying and learning to read with sounds, the beginning sound and ending sound. Teaching to read with consonant sounds, vowel sounds, reading rules, short vowels and blends of sounds. Using visual cards and pictures with the letters a child can learn to read quickly with the help of sounds.

Drawing

I have a bachelors in Fine Arts and also am an active artist, have taught art in schools and private lessons. I can teach almost any medium on any surface at any age level. The students will develop and explore their own creativity while learning skills and techniques using pencils, chalk, pastels, charcoal. I am an active artist, and a CFO for a nonprofit art association in Fremont. I currently exhibit publicly, my work has also been photographed by Tricity news paper in the bay area 2011. Social Studies

Elementary level social studies are best learned with projects that involve the student with multi-media, puzzles on the topic, charts, pictures and drawings, three dimensional projects to build in group projects.
