Alena is an amazing tutor! I needed help with chemistry to be ready for the new semester so we went over a lot of material, that really helped me when I began my classes. She went step by step with me on everything that I had trouble with. She taught me to understand what I am doing, not just to memorize like most teachers do. She went above what a regular tutor does, she doesn't just sit and go over homework, Alena really helps with the problems, and gives you tricks to help you understand. I don't dread coming to our session's because I know I will get something out of it and learn and actually understand what I am doing which is most important. It's important because when I am in class, I am able to participate and am not afraid to answer questions because I am confident in the material that was taught to me by Alena. The previous reviewer Julian had said, "Alena's accent made it a little difficult to understand the material," this is completely untrue. You can completely and absolutely understand the material and the way she teaches it. Overall, with Alena's help I was confident going into my first test of the semester.
