Hello, I'm Kavita! I am a graduate of Mission San Jose in Fremont. I have a BA in English from Santa Clara University, a Masters in Public Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law. During my academic years, I have tutored students of various grade levels from Kindergarten and 1st grade to junior college, college (especially English to graduate engineering and medical students), and professionals in the workplace. I have helped several college students and industry professionals with Hindi accent reduction and public speaking in academic and business settings. I am fluent in Hindi and English with native language fluency in both languages.
As a past program director for a statewide award winning workplace education program, I have created over 140 courses for professional grown and development in a government setting and have taught several of those courses. In a work place setting, I have varied tutoring experience for 1-1 group settings, small groups, and class size groups of 30 or more. Currently, I am also a regular speaker at events in the Bay Area, a television host, producer, and an experienced screenwriter.
As a parent of two elementary school age children in private schools in the area, I understand the rigors and pressures that children face today. I can definitely help your student develop research and public seeking skills in any subject area. I can also help you or your child excel in the areas of public speaking, research, writing, editing, accent reduction, reading and language arts, and Microsoft Office.
I currently teach Public Speaking, Writing, and Editing for several grade levels in the Mission San Jose (Fremont) area. I also teach accent reduction and English as a Second Language.
