I received my Bachelor, Master, and Doctor (Ph.D.) degrees in Mechanical Engineering with minor concentration in Mathematics from the University of Memphis. I have been working in industries and tutoring (at nights and weekends) for more than 15 years.
My approach is to assess student strengths/weaknesses to come up with a best tutoring method for him/her to achieve the greatest results. At work, I am leading technical efforts that applies tremendously and regularly knowledge in math and science subjects to solve real world problems and develop new methodology for technical application. Therefore, I have become a subject master/expert in the mentioned subjects and can teach/explain everything in a very concise and detailed manner that students can follow easily.
To motivate students to learn these science subjects, I always relate lessons to real world problems/applications. This approach appears to work well. Students are much more interested to learn the lessons and they also can memorize and expand their knowledge beyond the lessons.
I have many years of experience in private tutoring, where I tutored students for the SAT preparation, as well as helped students to understand the course materials and homework problems so they can advance in their classes. In addition to teaching experiences, I've developed training materials and taught other engineers at work. I also taught Professional Engineer (P.E.) preparation classes to engineers in Texas.
With my profound knowledge and tutoring experience in the mentioned subjects, I certainly will be able to help students advance in their academic path.
