I graduated from high school with honors and won several awards for academic excellence. I was part of AVID my fours years in high school. The district was a bit poor, so there was not enough money to hire tutors. When I was an AVID senior, I would tutor the lower class-men, mostly on science and mathematics since they happens to be my strong subjects. In addition, being a part of AP classes, teachers would ask if I could reteach some of their lectures in order for students to receive a different approach to understand the material. At home, I am the eldest of four, and I help out all my siblings with their homework. In college, I have trouble myself and tend to seek out assistance when something is unclear to me. When mastering the material, I tend to teach other students when forming study groups.
