EDUCATION:
I accomplished a Masters by Research degree (MRes) from the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton. It is considered higher than a Master's degree. NOCS is one of the top schools for oceanography in the world. Currently a PhD Candidate at Xiamen University with a renowned oceanographer.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
Taught at Oceanside High School for 2 years. Additionally, I had previous teaching experience at the San Diego Safari Park and Birch Aquarium (UCSD).

Plenty of experience with individuals with disabilities: especially those with autism/Asperger's syndrome.

Chess

I was raised playing chess. I used to play in national competitions in Canada when I was younger.
I also currently teach with the San Diego Chess Academy. I can instruct individuals of all ages and most levels.

Zoology

I majored in marine biology, and a large portion of instruction was on Zoology. Marine Invertebrate Zoology and Marine Vertebrate Zoology. I taught this subject to high school students recently as a sub-module from biology.

Botany

Did my bachelor's dissertation on phytoplankton (diatoms). In order to understand it, I needed to take phycology courses and understand botany both terrestial and marine.
This dissertation lead to a publication in which I am a first-author.

Autism

I used to teach individuals with autism social and technical communication at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. In addition, I have a brother who is autistic, and I help him with his social situations as well as clarification on certain works that he misinterprets occasionally.

Biostatistics

Accomplished my Bachelors in Marine Biology. Had extensive experience in calculating fish yield and fish stock... a majority of which is done through biostatistics and biostatistical software which I currently possess.

MATLAB

Did a lot of seafloor mapping in my bachelor's and master's programmes. Used MATLAB extensively to look into submarine canyons based on data obtained from research cruises that were equipped with an echosounder.

Organic Chemistry

I am currently a PhD Candidate in Marine Chemistry. Additionaly, I did my Master's dissertation on based on some of the chemistry of Ocean Acidification. In order to understand dissolved organic carbon, and dissolved organic matter, a superior understanding of organic chemistry is needed. Additionally, I took OC courses in university and privately taught the subject to students that did not understand the material from their professors.
