My name is John, and I may be just what you've been looking for. Between my zest for life and my varied international experiences, I'm sure I'd be ideal for your tutoring needs.
I've always loved the English language. From a young age, I was involved heavily in theater and choir, where I developed a love of poetry, lyricism, story, prose and song. I've always been an avid reader, and in middle school, I was even asked to be involved in a project reading novels aloud, recording them onto a tape and distributing those tapes to students who were blind or developmentally disabled. It was very rewarding and helped to cultivate my love for reading aloud.
I spent the last four years living in an Asia, working as an English instructor for both children and adults in the classroom and in a one-on-one setting. I would be happy to work with you, based on your individual needs, but I believe I'd be best suited for one of two scenarios - either as a general ESL tutor, for those students who may need that type of assistance, or one-on-one subject tutoring in the areas of English, language arts, composition, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and literature. I would also be willing to work with a small group of anywhere between 2-8 students, all needing help in the same area, or simply a guide for extra study time.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
