For the past 15 years, I have worked throughout the Bay Area as a Drama Therapist and as a teaching artist with youth from pre-school through high school age, and have also taught ongoing classes as an Adjunct Instructor of the Child Development Department at Santa Rosa Junior College. I believe learning should be fun, and specialize in helping youth to find joy in developing their skills in a particular subject as they celebrate and build on their strengths. I have worked extensively both with mainstream students and with youth with special needs, including autism, Asperger's syndrome and other developmental disorders. As a bi-lingual Spanish/English speaker, I love tutoring Spanish, English, Drama, Yoga and other subjects. I look forward to speaking with you about the needs of your son or daughter.

Swimming

From the age of 16-24, I taught ongoing swim classes to children, and was also a certified Water Safety Instructor.

Theatre

For the past 15 years, I have taught drama and dance throughout a local public school district, and would be delighted to coach your child in drama.

Track & Field

As a long distance runner since my teens, and as the captain of the Track and Field team in high school, I would love to coach your child with any needs they have to build their track and field skills.

Special Needs

As a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Drama Therapist, I have worked extensively with children with special needs, including children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, cognitive delays, emotional disturbances and others. I also love working one to one with special needs youth.

Bodybuilding

As a triathlete, a long distance runner, and an ACE Certified Fitness Instructor since 1996, I have coached individuals and groups in fitness and bodybuilding on and off for many years.

Yoga

I am a Registered Yoga Teacher and love working privately with youth and adults, as well as teaching regular adults classes.

Aspergers

I have worked extensively with youth with Asperger's. For several years I worked as the drama instructor at a school in Lafayette, which was dedicated to providing quality education for children with Asperger's.

Autism

As a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Drama Therapist, I have worked extensively with youth with Autism. I have also taught CE Courses for teachers and therapists who work with children with autism, including a recent course at JFK University called "Expressive Arts and Drama Therapy for Special Needs' Youth." I would be delighted to work with your child individually, and love to find ways to creatively build rapport and tap into the strengths of each child I work with.
