I am a retired Naval officer, married with two teenage children. I've coached soccer, served on the School Site Council and volunteered in the classroom at the schools my children attend. I'm very friendly, easygoing, and patient at teaching. I've managed Information Technology for years. I excel at tutoring in computers, desktop applications, home networking, computer security, and tablet or smartphone devices. I can tutor to assist in troubleshooting computer and networking problems as well. I'm the go to guy my family and friends seek out for information.

I have bachelor's of science in Information Systems management. I have successfully earned an A in Math 101, Math 107, and Statistics 200.

General Computer

I am an ITIL Foundations certified IT professional. I have operated and maintained IT networks for over 20 years. I provided help desk support for the Navy for all shipboard networks.

Microsoft PowerPoint

I've been working with Powerpoint for 10 years and successfully draft and present to senior leadership in the organizations I've worked for.

Prealgebra

I have B.S. in Information Systems management. I have earned As in Math 101, Math 107 and Statistics 200. I am qualified in Algebra 1 as well.

Writing

I write business communications such as point and white papers, policy, and process documentation as a regular part of my roles and responsibilities. My work is often submitted to senior leadership within the organization. I have a bachleor's degrees and excelled at all my formal writing classes.

Study Skills

I completed my bachelor's degree with honors while working full time and raising a family. I also help my own children with their Cornell notes and am proficient with other note taking systems. I have the ability to help others organize, make schedules and determine which learning style best fits them.

Networking (Computer)

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management, and for twenty years in the Navy I was an Information Technology officer and managed multiple networks and information systems.

Microsoft Outlook

From 2005 to 2007, I managed a large network with over 5000 end users. I managed four Microsoft Exchange servers and over 1200 laptops and desktops with Microsoft Outlook services.

Microsoft Windows

I have successfully completed the COMPTIA 2274 Managing Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2275 Maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2003. I have installed and managed desktop/laptop Microsoft XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8 operating systems.
