I am aware of the importance of education and of the positive impact it can have on a young adolescents life, therefore give it my all in helping those individuals succeed in their academic careers. I Am very patient and enjoy helping others succeed.I work well in one-on-one instruction as well as small group tutoring for students in grades K-12. My mission is to provide high-quality instruction for students in need of assistance.
I was employed and received training by Gear-Up, a grant funded program which focuses on mentoring and providing individualized attention to those who struggle in mathematics, English,and other academics. As a Gear Up tutor/mentor I had the opportunity to work along side teachers either in the classroom or in after school programs and provided students with individualized attention in areas such as math, English, reading, and writing. As a tutor, my objectives were to increase the academic performance of students for the preparation of their post-secondary education. Thus increased the rate of High School graduation and transfer rate into college. I As a Mentor, I was able to build relationships with my students. By having them as my mentees I had the privilege of guiding them through their early academic careers. In doing so, was able build strong relationships with my students that helped them make adjustments to succeed in their school environment. My students educational success is my priority.
