I am currently enrolled in the University of California, Santa Cruz as a double-major in European History and Spanish Studies. I am currently in my third year and plan on enrolling the University's Masters in Education program upon graduating. I plan on going to a private University so that I can pursue a second Master's degree in social sciences/linguistics so I may become a well-qualified high school teacher. What is most important to me is that my career path involves teaching, which is why I am interested in becoming a tutor for the time-being. In high school, I passed all seven Advanced Placement exams I took, which included AP Statistics, AP Spanish language, AP European History, AP Language and composition, AP Literature, AP U.S. History, and AP Government and Politics. By senior year, I had obtained a 4.67 GPA while working at the Palomar college bookstore and being cast in the crucible as the lead role. In addition, I wrestled competitively, and by Junior year, I was an assistant coach for the freshmen wrestling team. I have been greatly successful the University level, achieving recognition as a Regents Scholar (top 1% of the class), maintaining a 3.98 GPA, and working as a research assistant for The Gail Project, an international collaborative effort focusing on initiating a dialogue between Okinawa and the United States. I feel that tutoring is an excellent way for me to get experience teaching and do what I love. I am confident in my abilities to tutor Politics, History, Theater Arts, Reading, Grammar, Writing, and Spanish.
