I am currently enrolled in the University of California, Santa Cruz with proposed majors in history and politics. Right now, I am taking a leave of absence due to financial difficulties and complications. I plan on going to graduate school to obtain a doctorate degree in history so that I may become a college professor, or a well-qualified high school teacher. Either way, I hope that my career path involves teaching, which is why I am interested in becoming a tutor for the time-being. In high school, I passed all seven Advanced Placement exams I took, which included AP Statistics, AP Spanish language, AP European History, AP Language and composition, AP Literature, AP U.S. History, and AP Government and Politics. By senior year, I had obtained a 4.67 GPA while working at the Palomar college bookstore and being cast in the crucible as the lead role. In addition, I wrestled competitively, and by Junior year, I was an assistant coach for the freshmen wrestling team. During my first quarter in college, I received a 4.0 GPA, and I plan on returning to Santa Cruz in September. I feel that tutoring is an excellent way for me to get experience teaching and I feel that I am proficient in Politics, History, Theater Arts, Writing, Spanish, and Fitness training.
