I would have become an English teacher in high school if I were still in Vietnam. When I came here, I was attracted to the way U.S. students learn and the classroom environment at the elementary level. So, I decided to become an elementary teacher. I have earned my multiple subject teaching credential and my master's degree with the emphasis on Instruction and Curriculum from San Diego State University. I have been teaching at the elementary level for almost five years. I am extremely familiar with all the standards and curriculum, especially at the primary grade levels.
Right now I am working at a substitute teacher for both Escondido and San Diego Districts, which I believe, gives me the opportunity to work with different grade levels. In addition to my educational background and experience, I have a natural rapport with the children. My students are often motivated with my flexible and creative teaching styles. I am confident that I can help my students overcome their challenges as well as reach their potential.
