Anatomy has been an interest of mine since I studied Art in high school. Since then, I have taken several classes in Anatomy before I completed a course in Rolfing, massage, and while preparing for classes in Acupuncture.
I have about 30 years' experience in the ASVAB material, and I scored in the 90 percentile on the test. I strive to explain ideas, solutions, concepts in a clear, simple manner to eliminate confusion and doubt. Your success is important to my success.
I began studying computer programming over 40 years ago, and graduated from a Computer Trade college with a Certificate in Computer Information Science. I've used a desktop computer since they were released, and we update our computer systems periodically. We have a LAN to support our desktops and printer/scanners. Computer science is a dynamic field and is constantly developing. We must continue to learn to stay current in the industry. I am now developing an iPhone app.
I know elementary math well, since I have used it for most of my life.
English has been one of my favorite subjects since I was in elementary school. I still read a variety of books, publications, and articles. Clear communication through the written and spoken word has been important to me, as a student, businessman, and participating adult.
My computer studies began in the early seventies. I've worked in the computer support industry helping others over the phone. I have had experience with both Windows and Macintosh systems.
I enjoy helping people overcome their difficulties with computing systems and software. People can enhance their lives with computer knowledge. Usually the initial learning curve for any application is steep, and will gradually become easier with more practice.
I have studied anatomy and physiology in preparation for a career in Acupuncture. I've had several intense combined courses in the subjects. We covered the skeletal/muscular systems, the circulatory, digestive, respiratory, endocrine systems, and the nervous system with emphasis on brain function. The bio-chemical processes inherent in almost every physiological level is very fascinating, but requires sufficient study to see its simplicity.
I enjoy reading from a variety of books, articles, and publications. I like fiction as well as non-fiction, poetry and prose. Through learning to understand what we read, we can develop our thinking skills and learn about the fascinating world we live in.
Writing has been a hobby of mine since high school. Writing is a creative pursuit that helps to enhance the mundane reality, and gives me the insight, and scope of reference that helps to raise the bar on my thinking, and reach new depths of understanding. I enjoy the challenge of crafting the appropriate prose for any occasion. Reading, another avid interest of mine, complements my writing with new ideas, perceptions and perspectives.
