I have been composing music for over 30 years. As a staff songwriter at many of the major publishing companies (Warner/Chappell, Sony, BMG, MCA, Almo-Irving), I not only have written songs, but instrumental music for TV. I compose on guitar and piano.
I studied composition, privately with Byron Olson, and at CSUN.
In addition to being a songwriter, composer, and musician (acoustic and electric guitar, piano, mandolin, bass), I engineer and produce recordings in my recording studio.
I arrange songs and compositions as a songwriter, composer and producer.
I have been playing guitar since the age of 7. I studied folk guitar at 10 and studied classical guitar at the age of 12.
As a published songwriter since 1980, I have produced and played guitar on countless recordings.
I have extensive experience teaching guitar, privately, for over 30 years.
I own and operate my own recording studio, which allows me to record my students.
I have studied music history my whole life. My mother was a classical pianist, so I learned music history from day 1. I have extensive knowledge of most genres of music, from classical to jazz, blues, R&B, rock, pop, folk, latin and world music.

I have had 2 hit songs, including, "Love Is", a #1 song, recorded by Vanessa Williams and Brian McKnight. I have over 70 songs covered by artists including, Al Green, Aaron Neville, Rickie Lee Jones, Wynonna and Etta James.
I studied classical piano and guitar from the age of 7, and continued my musical education at California State University Northridge.
Currently I teach a class on songwriting at The Songwriting School Of Los Angeles.
