My student-centered tutoring is personalized to fit your needs and learning style. I use games and hands on learning. Students have fun in a caring environment. I am a fully credentialed teacher. I have worked as a resource specialist, Montessori teacher, and in bilingual classrooms. I speak fluent Spanish and some French. I am a published author. As an adventurer I have sailed the South Pacific and Caribbean on our sailboats for 7 years and lived in the rain forests of South and Central America for 4 years. These experiences enable me to give a global perspective within my teaching. My many skills and accreditation provide you with a full range of activities and the latest resources. Phonics

The first sounds a child hears is the basis for speaking. It is the same with phonics. Phonics is a method for teaching reading and writing the English language by developing learners' phonemic awareness—the ability to hear, identify, and manipulate phonemes.
