A graduate from USC, I studied Business (Finance emphasis) and East Asian Languages and Cultures. My experience is as follows:

- 3 years experience in tutoring elementary and high school math, and writing
For foreign students, I speak Mandarin and Cantonese. Regardless of the learner's language, I am adept at teaching English as a second language and have 2 years of experience in doing so.
My goal with students is to first assess their level and goals, and then proceed to develop a personalized plan to achieve their goals, whether that be writing essays, improving standardized test scores, or getting an A in a class.
As a Business major at USC, I studied all the major areas of Business, including: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Finance, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, Communication, Marketing, Business Statistics, and Business Writing. In addition, I have taken upper division courses in Management Consulting, International Business, and Financial Valuation. In these courses, I have maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA. Because I have had internships at Sony Pictures, Merrill Lynch, and Blackstone Consulting, I am also convey how classroom theory is applied.
As an Asian American, I have been taking Chinese school from elementary school throughout college. I also speak Cantonese at home as well as studied abroad in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan for a cumulative length of about 1.5 years. During that time, I had intensive Chinese instruction. Currently, I can read the newspaper and speak fluently in both Cantonese and Mandarin, as well as write at a newspaper level. As a native English speaker, I am well-suited to teaching Chinese to young learners as well as adults.
As a recent cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California in Business Administration and East Asian Languages and Cultures, I have demonstrated a high level of ability in subjects ranging from math, writing, reading, and general English. As a top 2% graduate of my high school class, I have excelled in high schools subjects including U.S. and World History, Economics, Algebra 1 through Calculus BC, AP Literature and Composition, as well as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. As a native English speaker, I have excelled in all of my English courses from high school through college, having scored a perfect score in the SAT writing test. Recently, I graduated from the University of Southern California as a cum laude in all my courses. In terms of tutoring and teaching experience, I have taught numerous English courses in grammar, writing, speaking, and conversational English abroad, including developing my own lesson plans and planning learning goals. In addition, I have also tutored in English domestically and therefore, have a wide range of experiences to draw from in teaching ESL/ESOL subjects. In addition, I currently am developing a personalized English study plan for a Chinese student.
As a top student from elementary school through high school, I graduated 10th in my class of over 400. Matriculating to USC as a Business major, I balanced multiple extracurricular activities as well as graduated cum laude. Accomplishing these tasks while balancing academics required strict adherence to a schedule, impeccable time management, and a high level of organization. Given this, I am skilled at developing study plans, schedules, calendars, and task management. I also have prior experience providing study skills help at the college level.
