I have a B.A. from UC Berkeley and a M.S. from Ohio state University. Both are in Mathematics. I am pretty thorough in solving problems and will provide anything necessary to help you succeed in Math. This is my 4th year tutoring. If possible, the first hour charge can be waived for students to see if they like my teaching and if they learn from my teaching.

Daniel and I met a few times to help me prepare for a math portion of GED test. He was very knowledgeable about the subjects I was having issues in and it was easy for me to understand what he was showing me. After a couple sessions of taking practice GED test I was able to study the formulas he taught me and got a good enough grasp that I was able to pass my GED math portion. Thanks Daniel! Anyone looking for a math tutor should give Daniel a chance he is helpful, reliable, and understanding if you need to reschedule. Very happy with my tutoring.

Daniel was very responsive, punctual and reliable when I needed tutoring. He has a wealth of knowledge on the subject of STATS and explained step by step with visuals on paper. If I didn't have his help, I would not have done as well in my class. I would highly recommend Daniel as a tutor!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a native speaker of Mandarine Chinese. I finished High School in Taiwan and then after 2 years in obligatory military service I came to US to study for college. I am an immigrant. I attended UC Berkeley and got a bachelor degree in Math. I speak fluently in Mandarine Chinese and well versed in written Chinese too.

I have an M.S. in Mathematics from Ohio State University. I have had experiences teaching Differential Equations to college students when I taught Differential Equations recitation classes to Engineer and Science majors as a TA at OSU. I know all the methods of Differential Equations plus tricks. I have also taken Differential Equations courses at undergraduate and graduate levels at UC Berkeley, where I got my bachelor's degree. In all the courses I took in the area of Differential Equations at Berkeley and OSU, I earned A's and B's. I can help students with difficulties in D.E., once I get the student's textbook and do some review.

I took Discrete Math in graduate school for 3 quarters. I know most of the material in Discrete Math well. I got As and Bs in class.

I took Linear Algebra in my BA degree in math and I took the theoretical section. That is, it is intended for math majors. I got "A" in that course. My instructor was a visiting scholar and taught more theorems than other Linear Algebra sections.

They are many methods in this course. Something like triangulization of matrices requires one to understand the math underlined. There are also definitions in this course which are hard to grasped and applied. I forget some of the hard stuff, but I am confident after I review I am able to do the specific questions.
