I have a B.A. from UC Berkeley and a M.S. from Ohio state University. Both are in Mathematics. I am pretty thorough in solving problems and will provide anything necessary to help you succeed in Math. This is my 4th year tutoring. If possible, the first hour charge can be waived for students to see if they like my teaching and if they learn from my teaching.
I am a native speaker of Mandarine Chinese. I finished High School in Taiwan and then after 2 years in obligatory military service I came to US to study for college. I am an immigrant. I attended UC Berkeley and got a bachelor degree in Math. I speak fluently in Mandarine Chinese and well versed in written Chinese too.
I have a M.S. in Mathematics from Ohio State University. I have had experiences teaching Differential Equations to college students when I taught Differential Equations recitation classes to Engineer and Science majors as a TA at OSU. I know all the methods of Differential Equations plus tricks.
I have also taken Differential Equations courses at undergraduate and graduate levels at UC Berkeley, where I got my bachelor degree. In all the courses I took in the area of Differential Equations at Berkeley and OSU, I earned A's and B's.
I can help students with difficulties in D.E., once I get the student's textbook and do some review. I am now a Substitute Teacher at West Contra Costa Unified School District and have experience working with young students.
I took Linear Algebra in my BA degree in math and I took the theoretical section. That is, it is intended for math majors. I got "A" in that course. My instructor was a visiting scholar and taught more theorems than other Linear Algebra sections.
They are many methods in this course. Something like triangulization of matrices requires one to understand the math underlined. There are also definitions in this course which are hard to grasped and applied. I forget some of the hard stuff, but I am confident after I review I am able to do the specific questions.
