Hi, my name is Fred. I have taught math and statistics at Grossmont College for over three years and have tutored math at Grossmont College for nine years. I have enjoyed an uncommon success with my students, both in the classroom and in tutoring sessions. I have also taught math in high school. I am presently pursuing my Master's degree in statistics at SDSU. While I am at SDSU, I give a 25 percent discount to all SDSU students I can tutor on campus.

I understand math anxiety and have found quite a few ways to simplify how math is both taught and learned. I can help you pass the class the first time and, in most cases, receive an A or B. I specialize and I believe excel in helping static students. I do not charge extra for groups; in fact, with my teaching experience, I welcome them.

Baseball

I have been a high school baseball coach for eight years. I am currently one of the lead coaches on a very successful high school travel ball program called the "Mad Dogs." I played on a National Championship junior college program for Pasadena City College in 1967 and at SDSU after that. I specialize in hitting and base my approach on the philosophy of Ted Williams, Tony Gwynn and Darrell Evans.

Biostatistics

I have taken over 30 upper division credits in statistics and 3 of those were in upper division biostatistics and 3 were in the Graduate level of Biostatistics. I have tutored students successfully in biostatistics before. I am sure I can continue.

Logic

I have taken and passed discrete mathematics, which entails an extensive chapter on propositional logic. I am also about halfway through my Master's in statistics at SDSU, which contains a good deal of material based on the fundamentals of logic.
