I have over a decade of experience in tutoring all subjects for students from K-10 in Ohio, New York City and the SF Bay Area. I love and work particularly well with children of all backgrounds, as I am patient, warm, empathetic, encouraging and inspiring. For students above 10th grade, I tutor English, Writing and Public Speaking and teach Yoga. I used to teach Yoga and Meditation to Youth Inmates in Juvenile Halls, where I saw so many young prisoners transform themselves before my eyes. I have taught Yoga to students from the streets and slums of India as well as recovering women addicts in Redwood City. I also taught health education in New York City public high schools.
Writing is my specialty. I have written and done marketing consulting for ABC News, LIVESTRONG.com (Lance Armstrong's company), TCW Finance, BBMG Integrated Marketing and Branding Agency, the Girl Scouts, The Children's Defense Fund, International Technological University (ITU) and Job Monkey.
I graduated with honors from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business, which is considered one of the premier undergraduate business schools in the country. I led the marketing department for the International Technological University in the Silicon Valley. I most recently organized and introduced a show featuring 16 children from the slums of India who performed a dance drama about Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King's ideals for a full house of 1,500+ people in a top performing arts venue. Our audience included people of all ages and races, from all walks of life, including many people who had never sat in a theater before.
