I have over 9 years of musical performance experience and training. I focus mainly on piano, and teach anything from performance, technique, theory, improvisation, ear training, and sight-reading. I also have analyzed and studied many method and technique books. Through those books I determine what will work best with you and make sure that it will guide you your goal on whatever you would like to accomplish in music. As well as being a music teacher I am also young and studying to major in piano performance. Therefore I understand what "I had no time to practice" means. No worries though because I will help set up a schedule so you can organize your time so that you can meet your goals. I take practice very serious and always put my students first.
Throughout my teaching career, I have have gained experience and the feel for teaching variety of levels to variety of students. These levels are beginner, intermediate advance-intermediate, and advance. Advancement to the next level relies on technique and performance from the student. Each student is different and contains a weakness and a stronghold. My job as your student's teacher is to strengthen the place where they are weak; whether it be their sight reading, ear training, or theory, and help improve and master the area that they are strong in. I do not only rely on experience but as well as books and research I have performed with my professor that works for USC. Books like "Mastering Piano" by Seymour Fink and "On Playing Piano" by Abby Whiteside help me understand the need for each individual student.
