I have been making websites since 1994 and have instructed many of my own clients on how to maintain their own sites using Dreamweaver and Photoshop to save money. From deciding what kind of site to create, to finding the right web host, to setting up FTP to transfer files from your computer to your web host, to using Photoshop to optimize your graphics, and to put it all together using Dreamweaver, I can show you how to do it yourself.
People I have tutored in learning about the Internet and the Web have ranged from young teenagers, to teachers, to surgeons, and even seniors, like my own parents and their friends. Using real-world comparisons, I describe how the Internet works (it's a whole bunch of connected computers...) to how web pages show up on your computer (it's like a Word document, with words and pictures, that anyone with Internet Explorer or Firefox can see).
My dad is a retired engineer and my mom is a retired special education teacher, and my skills are a combination of theirs--analytical and scientific combined with patience, empathy and communication.
