I graduated from the University of California of Irvine with a major in Biological Sciences. I completed my pre-medical courses at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. I also hold a medical degree from another country. While in medical school, I did tutor my colleagues in histology, pathology, gross anatomy and physiology. I have worked in the health care field on and off for the last 10 years. In the last four years, I have been tutoring K-12 grades in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and natural sciences. I have worked with the Unified School Districts in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. The service is one-on-one tutoring either in home or at local libraries. Basically, I assess initial and final examinations. I monitor student's progress periodically and report them to school districts. I also help the students with the study skills/planning/time management/test taking skills.
I greatly enjoy working with people of all ages, especially children. I believe they have a great potential to advance academically if given individual attention and a considerable amount of time on their behalf. I always take time in tutoring my students. I make sure that they understand their materials thoroughly before I move on to different topic/subject. I myself am a highly motivated and goal oriented person. I am a passionate and considerate tutor. I have been told that I am professional, enthusiastic and hard-working. As a matter of fact, students grades improved by 40-50% with tutoring.
Feel free to ask me any question and please do not hesitate to drop me a note. Good luck with your academic endeavor.
