My name is Chien-Yu Chen and I am currently a freshman student at the University of California at Davis. I admit that I do not have a significant amount of experience tutoring, but I believe that, with my knowledge, I will be able to inspire and educate your child well. I enjoy working with others regardless of age or field of study, and am very outgoing. For tutoring, I can either prepare my own supplies such as worksheets, calculators, and dictionaries, but I would greatly appreciate it if the student already knows specific topics or questions on which he is in need of help. There are are a number of ways in which the student may prepare for the tutoring session, some of which include preparing worksheets or assignments given by school teachers or having in mind a skill or topic he or she wishes to improve on or learn. Algebra 2

I have taken and learned mathematics up to statistics. I have not taken Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or any AP courses in mathematics. I am rather familiar with Algebra 2 as I have taken that in my sophomore year of high school. I wish to help students as much as my capabilities allow.

Chemistry

I have taken and learned general chemistry in my senior year of high school. As one may assume from this, I am not educated in AP (college) level chemistry. Nevertheless, I wish to help any and all students as much as my capabilities allow.

Study Skills

I have been in a study skills course in all four years of my high school career. During this time, I have learned a hand full of strategies that students may use to study. I wish to pass this on to current young students regardless of age or grade.

Swimming

I primarily swim for fun. I took basic swimming lessons when I was little and would like to teach those skills and lessons to any individual who is eager and willing to learn basics of swimming such as forms and how to stay afloat with and without the help of flotation devices.
