Hello! I have taught English as a Second Language for 10+ years. My ESL journey began by working for EF International Schools as the director of the intensive language study abroad program. I then found my way to the community college circuit, teaching adult education. I loved orienting my students to American English and culture. I have a bachelors degree in English Literature from Brigham Young University and a masters degree in Applied Linguistics from San Diego State University. I have a large library of teaching curricula I would use to structure my lessons around your individual needs and interests. My students would say that I care about them and about getting it right. I am passionate about teaching and have worked with the following nationalities: Mexican, Russian, Brazilian, Spanish, German, Dutch, Swedish, Italian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Swiss, French, Chinese, Finnish, Korean, and Taiwanese. I set up lessons to encourage as much conversation as possible. I am also a published writer, having recently developed a relationship with a local parenting magazine.
