Just as Confucius said, “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” So I love teaching students and creating within them a spark of interest in the subject that they wish to enhance their strengths and in which they wish to pursue their career in. It gives me immense pleasure to see my students transfer this interest into their every day work; that is, their current studies (or their future work). Once they finish their studies and start on a job, their work will be a source of joy for them. Hopefully, they will adopt and transfer this positive attitude into their future creating a snowball effect of positive energy. So with this philosophy, I teach my students with dedication and devotion. I try to find out each student’s weak areas and then patiently help them to overcome their weaknesses such that their weaknesses gets transformed through my dedicated teaching into strengths for them. Learning is a lifelong process and acquiring the knowledge gives my student the inspiration and confidence to succeed.
I have taught University of California undergraduates for over 5 years. I have also been teaching Middle School and High School children as well as students at Universities. I specialize in tutoring English, French, and Math. In French, I can teach all high school levels of French (Grammar, Spoken French, Vocabulary, AP French and French literary texts). In Math, I teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry to Middle School and High School students. By helping the student use a step-by-step process that is neatly organized, I patiently help the student first understand the mathematical concepts and then guide them to apply those concepts in real-world application problems that their instructor gives them. In English, I help my students with their English essays (Narrative, Comparative, Persuasive, Cause and Effect, Response to Literature, Cause and Effect, and Argumentative) and in their Vocabulary, Grammar, and Reading of Literary Texts. I also help my students with Literature (French or English Literature). I also help students with Speech Communication (as I have taught “Speech Communication Courses” to university students involving Introductory, Persuasive, Comparative, Commemorative, Informative, and other Speeches). I also help students with Technical Writing, Technical Editing, and Technical Communications (as I have several years of industry experience too as a Sr. Technical Writer).
I try to be flexible with timings. But, I do need a 36 hour notice for cancellation of any class, though I will be willing to offer a makeup class based upon a mutually agreed upon time and day. I am prompt on timings and request the same from the student.
To ensure that the students have a quiet and comfortable work space to study, I work with the student at a quiet area in the public library.
I look forward to helping you with your studies and enhancing your skills to help you achieve success with your studies.
