I am a well educated person who loves working with students. I have a B.A. from UCLA in African American Studies and a minor in Political Science. I subsequently taught for 2 years in LAUSD, teaching 8th grade English and US history. I also earned an M.A. from Loyola Marymount University in Elementary Education, as well as a teaching credential. After teaching for 2 years, I attended and graduated from a top 10 law school, earning my J.D. in 2012. I am in the public sector, which gives me more free time than the average lawyer. I love working with students, as a teacher, tutor and mentor, all of which I have done before.
My strengths are language arts and history, which is apparent based on my previous education. I can start immediately and I am flexible with how to work with your child. Based on the needs of your child, I will adjust my practices and lessons to meet them where they are. I love working with children of all backgrounds and skill levels. My students I taught in 8th grade were often below grade level, so I can help them work on improving their skills to grade level and beyond.
I look forward to working with you and your child!
