Hello, I have my BA in mathematics and my single subject teaching credential in math. In order for me to get my teaching credential, I had to do two quarters of student teaching. I taught algebra 2 at a local high school, and Pre-Algebra/Algebra at a local middle school. So, I have enough experience from student teaching and substitute teaching to where I shouldn't have a problem in tutoring a potential student who needs help with their math class. One tutoring method I can use includes different types of materials. I can use colored pencils, graph paper, and highlighters to better explain some of the problems that involve graphs from Algebra or shapes from Geometry. One way I know to help the students better understand the problem is to use an outline of the reasons why each step of the problem was made.

I have my BA in math and I did my student teaching in both Pre-Algebra and Algebra. I received my teaching credential from Cal Poly Pomona. From these classes I learned the different methods that can be used; whether it be visual, manipulatives, or other modifications like algebra tiles.
