I would be honored to tutor you or your loved one in the biological sciences.
I have two Master's degrees, in Biology and Physiology. My experience teaching started while I was an undergraduate. I was a Research Coordinator where I taught simple life science lessons to refugee children aged 6-15 in an after-school program. I also presented research on children’s learning achievements with a hands-on approach to teaching at the Agnes Scott College Spring Annual Research Conference.
Under my Master's study, I was the head Zoology Teaching Assistant in Biology.
During my second Master's, I taught two, 3 hour-long laboratory sections with over 25 undergraduate students each. We performed physiology-based laboratory experiments which included each body system and an endocrine system case study. I prepared assessments, assigned homework, proctored and graded lecture and lab practicals and quizzes, and held office hours twice per week.
I have also completed a Certificate in College Teaching, which includes extensive learner-centered teaching training. I have prepared a teaching portfolio, written thorough lesson plans, assessed colleagues’ teaching performance, and written reflections of own and others' teaching.
I look forward to working with you!
