I am a credentialed teacher. I offer individualized tutoring at your home or mine in the Concord or Walnut Creek area. I can help all children and adults with English, Language Arts, Reading and Writing. I can help K-3 with math. I personalize instruction based on the student's interests and learning styles. I used to be a first grade teacher, and have raised 2 kids of my own. I enjoy helping parents learn how to best help their children, and offer strategies to get the whole family involved. I am especially looking for home schoolers in the week-day hours.

Proofreading

I have passed the proofreading test in my subject list, as well as English, Grammar, Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary and Writing.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have a multiple subject credential and CLAD certificate. After starting with my own first grade class for 7 years, I later did intervention work, substituting, and private tutoring with both elementary age and adults over the past decade.

Phonics

I have a multiple subject teaching credential and CLAD certificate. I taught first grade, intervention, and private tutoring, mostly in Language Arts and ESL.
