I am Anil, pursing PhD from the Department of Philosophy, University of Melbourne. I am close to the completion of my thesis.
Good tutoring, I believe, starts with clarifying basics and filling the gaps. Clarifying basics needs analysis of the assumptions and comparison of these basics with basics from other subjects. This gives student a broader idea of knowledge and involves the student in the learning process. Since it is tutoring, a supplementary activity to teaching, quickly finding and filling he gaps saves time and helps student to progress quickly. The goal of my tutoring is to make the student independent and exploitative as soon as possible.
I have nearly 20 years of teaching experience at various levels. I started my teaching career with teaching maths and science at middle school level and later taught physics at higher levels. My teaching of last 6, 7 years focused on philosophy at various levels. My rather rare background and teaching experience of science, especially physics, and humanities keeps me on good stead to handle math, science and humanities.
