I have taught in public schools for 22 years.

My experience as a classroom teacher has enhanced my ability as a tutor, the work I really prefer. I see myself as socially and intellectually skilled, patient, and unconditionally supportive.

When I tutor I feel a need to help students understand and complete homework, meet deadlines, and prepare for tests, since they have a responsibility to their schools first.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taught 4th and 5th grade English and Mathematics, and possess a sufficient understanding of other core subject areas, such as science, geography, and history. I also have the interest in these areas as well as the patience to help a struggling young student.

Basketball

I played basketball at the high school and college levels in addition to a year in Argentina. I have also coached community youth teams. I have a solid grounding in fundamentals and understand in-game situations.

CBEST

I have successfully taken the CBEST and have worked for over twenty years in the profession, teaching in California public schools, for which one must prove him/herself on the test.
