My name is Craig S. and I grew up in San Diego, CA. Since graduating from Santa Clara University with an M.S. in Engineering Management (2008) after completing a B.S. in Computer Engineering (2004), I have accumulated nearly ten years of experience in tutoring, training and teaching.
Most recently, I was a Corporate Trainer in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia where I delivered training in Microsoft Office, work-readiness skills and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to public and private organizations. As a certified Microsoft Office Specialist (Expert-level), I conducted training sessions using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access with one-on-one class sizes. I also facilitated classes in Microsoft Project and Visio.
Prior to my tenure in Australia, I worked at Bridgepoint Education providing extensive training in Microsoft Office. I was also able to design, implement and administer a Course Curriculum database in Microsoft Access to store information for Instructional Designers, Curriculum Coordinators and Program Directors. The opportunity to create the Course Curriculum database afforded me a chance to train users in Microsoft Access tables, queries and forms.
Throughout graduate school in Northern California, I tutored for Flex College Prep on location and on student-site in AP Computer Science using Java, AP Calculus, SAT (I/II) Math, Geometry, Trigonometry. I built trusting relationships with parents of children who required tutoring to ensure delivery of academic content and continued customer confidence. Tutoring sessions included tailor-made curriculum for optimal learning.
While in Northern California, I served as the Computer Technology Teacher at St. Simon Parish School with a student body of 500+ students (K-8) to deliver computer-based curriculum including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
