I hold both Multiple Subject Credential and a Specialist Credential.
I have extensive experience working in the area of Language Arts with READ 180, System 44, Language and Inside Core replacement programs. I also used Read Naturally and Scholastic Summer School programs.
I also work with Houghton Mifflin Reading Language Arts.
In the area of Math, I support my students in their work with Envision Math. For my struggling students I use Touch Math alternative kinesthetic approach to mathematics.
My work in these areas is mostly concentrated on grades 2-6.

I am certified to administer normed referenced assessments: Test of Written Language-4 (TOWL-4), KeyMath-3, Test of Reading Comprehension-4 (TORC-4), Woodcock Johnson III, among other tests of academic achievement.
I have taught elementary math topics for 11 years. Currently, I am participating in a math grant through a partnership with San Diego County of Education and San Diego State University, which will allow me to gain a specialty certification in the area of mathematics.
I am Microsoft Office Suite Certified. 20-years experience using Excel and other Office products. I use this program to create tables with student data. I track student grades, and other assessment data, I also use it to make graphs and charts.
In the business setting I used it for daily parts tracking, to track payroll hours and to create invoice forms. Also tables to use in mail-merge documents, such as form letters.
Microsoft Office Suite Certified. I have 20-years' experience using PowerPoint and other Office products. I use this program to create business and classroom presentations and also to create interactive games for my students in the classroom setting.
I use this program to create business and classroom related documents such as letters using mail-merge functions, create forms for parents, teachers, and administrator to complete, I also teach my elementary students specific functions such as setting margins and using double spacing when creating an essay, etc. In the business setting I use this program to create memo's, inquiry letters, and other business documents.
80% of my workday revolves around the teaching of reading elements from phonemic awareness, to reading fluency and comprehension, to expanding my student's vocabulary.
I have extensive training in this area, especially as it relates to teaching second language learners and struggling readers.
One of my particular areas of expertise is that of identifying the specific areas of difficulty keeping the student from acquiring reading skills.
I completed education in up to middle school in Mexico. Fluent in speaking, reading and writing. Currently, I support bilingual, elementary level students in academic Spanish. I practice Spanish oral language on a daily basis.
