My name is Katie. I am currently in my second year of college at Wayne State University. I am in the Community of Scholars. To stay in the COS, I have to volunteer. I have tutored young kids within the Detroit school system in reading and math and have also tutored teens when I was in high school a couple years ago. I am a dependable person who can help you or your child in his or her studies.
I very much enjoy my time tutoring children and developing a relationship, in which the student trusts in my abilities and compassion. My goal is to make each child or student I tutor more comfortable and confident in his or her own learning abilities. Also, I want the parent or guardian of the child or teen to feel secure and know that my sole intent is to aid in the individual's improvement in whatever subject it may be.
