I grew up in Redondo Beach, CA, and after graduating high school I moved to Reno, Nevada, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish at the University of Nevada, Reno. My professors were from Mexico, Chile, the U.S., but most were from Spain. I earned 14 credits in an educational exchange program through UNR and the University Andes Bellos in Santiago, Chile.
While spending 4 months in Chile, I traveled as far south as Puerto Montt and as far north as Calama, venturing into the Atacama Desert, and staying in the small town of San Pedro de Atacama. I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, as well as parts of Central and South America.
Spanish grammar is my specialty and I am proficient at conversational Spanish. I am detailed in teaching students how to spell correctly, use exclamation marks, and pronunciation. If you or your student just need a little help getting through a Spanish class at school, I can assist. If you are looking for an experienced Spanish tutor/teacher, look no further. I taught conversational Spanish at Truckee Meadows Community College for two years, which gives me the teaching experience students need from a tutor. I have flexible hours to provide tutoring assistance that can meet your schedule.
