I have a vast background in many disciplines. I have a law degree and also a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Economics. Currently, I teach as an adjunct professor for Real Estate, Criminal Justice, and Paralegal courses. I have taken and passed the CBEST examination, LSAT, and ACT exams.

My teaching style is to first understand that particular student's level of understanding and then build up from there. I take as much time as is needed on the front end to build a base from which to grow. Many times, students do not understand what the topic is about in general and therefore have a hard time grasping the more difficult concepts later. Therefore, I really prod until I know what the student comprehends.

I have also been a volunteer wrestling coach at several North County High Schools for over 5 years. I was a two-time All American wrestler in college and a Hall of Fame inductee for Football in college as well. Therefore, I have a very broad background in sports and education. I have learned in order to be successful, you must have clarity in your direction, and determination in how you carry out your goals.

American History

I currently teach American Government courses at post-secondary schools. The early history of America by and large follows the important decisions and events involved with our government. I am also well versed in the American Wars throughout U.S. history, which is the second biggest chapter.

Football

I played football from junior high into high school where I was 1st Team All Conference and won the State Championship. I played college football at both Santa Rosa J.C. and the Univ. of CA, Davis. I was inducted into Davis' Hall of Fame for both Football and Wrestling. As a teen, I worked for the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders.

Public Speaking

As a practicing Trial Lawyer of ten years, I had to weekly perform public speaking in the courtroom. With not only a jury present, but also the rest of the courtroom filled with the public, I had to learn how to focus on the information I was seeking to explain and not concern myself with the fears of public speaking. Additionally, I have given lectures in large classrooms and also served as a guest speaker on many occasions.

CBEST

I took the CBEST examination earlier this year and passed the first time. Additionally, I took all three subjects on the same day. Many of the prospective teachers take one subject at a time and allot the whole 3 hours for one topic. In any event, the exam is still fresh in my mind.

Criminal Justice

I practiced law for 10 years in both Civil Courts and Federal Courts. I currently am a professor teaching Fundamentals of Criminal Justice and American Government, which covers the entire Constitution and the fundamental rights bestowed upon all U.S. citizens. I also teach Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research.
