I have been teaching Physics for the past 5 years and I truly love it. Before that, I tutored it for 4 years. In college I chose Physics as my major because I enjoyed it and it made sense to me. I decided to tutor it because I wanted others to see the same things. My goal, still, is to show my students that Physics is not hard and can be fun to learn. I have taught at large public schools and small private ones. I am not limited to Physics though, I have also taught Algebra, Algebra II and Geometry while I have been employed at the Army and Navy Academy. The classroom is not the only place I have shared my experience with my students, I am also a club advisor, lacrosse, football, and soccer coach. Pouring into students is a part of being a teacher and is something that I’m passionate about. I want to share my life with my students so that they know that I care about them and want them to succeed. I have specifically taught AP Physics for the past 5 years. In order to keep up with current AP testing strategies, I am constantly going to conferences in order to learn the newest techniques to help students prepare for the exam. I approach tutoring like I do teaching, I try to make the subject matter as fun as possible. I help my students see that a Physics problem is just a math problem as long as you understand the concept. My job is to get them to understand that concept. I like to use diagrams, pictures, and models to help them understand. I will use movies, music, and anything else I can get my hands on to demonstrate the concepts. I employ active participation in order to get others involved by direct students to the right answers without doing the work for them. I ask a lot of questions to get my students to think things out so that they find the answer for themselves. This affirms their thought processes and makes them more confident in their own abilities.

Very Respectful and Patient I am what is termed "the young old". Client 55 years plus in age. I am applying for college and have felt quite intimidated in taking entrance exams especially the math section. Newton did not belittle me, he just simply stated that the answers are within me and I just need to allow it to surface. He had renewed my confidence in math after 40 years of avoiding math problems. ...
