Anyone can learn to write well. Writing is not rocket science, but a process of drafting, revision, and attention to diction. Good writers understand that you don't get it right in one draft. Good writers understand that drafting and revision enables them to better understand their message. Good writers understand that drafting and revision enables them to think critically and produce clear and effective communication.
I teach the writing process that I have learned from my teachers and from my experience. The writing process requires effort, but my experience as a teacher, and as a writer, demonstrates that just a little one-on-one instruction quickly improves the student's writing and thinking skills. These skills enhance a student’s education, and they enhance effective communication on the job.
