I have a passion for teaching English. I have taught ESL to adults for 22 years and have loved this job.
I have a lot of patience and knowledge in this area. I have special grammar lessons for students. When I worked for the LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) I won awards for excellence in teaching from the City of Los Angeles, as well as the State of California. In the category of teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) I teach listening, teaching, reading and writing skills. When I work with students, we have a relaxed relationship whereby they feel that making mistakes in grammar are OK...making mistakes in a new language is normal and expected. I am available all times of the day and will travel as necessary. Again, my main experience and expertise has been with the adult population. However, I am available to teach K- 12 in the subject range of English and Social Studies.
