As the world increasingly becomes a Global Village, proficiency in the English language is essential. I believe all people have the inherent ability to learn and succeed if they receive help and are encouraged and motivated. Engaging students and making learning a fun-filled experience goes a long way in developing and maintaining an interest in learning. People learn by different methods; some are 'doers', others are 'visualizers' and others learn by listening.
I have taught students at all levels, from children or adults with basic skills to those with intermediate or advanced proficiency. Teaching English as a second language is my specialty, but my background in English Literature enables me to help anyone struggling with English. I have a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree majoring in English, and an Access Certificate in English Language Teaching from City and Guilds College of London.
