I am a certified biology teacher with experience in university research and veterinary sciences. I have taught biology, AP biology and environmental sciences in public urban schools in San Francisco.
I favor instructional methods that place the student at the center of the learning process, allowing her or him to experience what it is like to think like a scientist. My students will not only understand how to fulfill their intellectual potential in learning biology, but also discover a discipline that makes us wonder and gives us a childlike inclination for play and joy.
When I am not learning or teaching, I spend my free time with my two young boys. My passions are buying science books, yoga and traveling. I have lived in many countries such as China, Congo and Algeria.
