I've been a Microsoft Office trainer for 20+ years, 19 of which have been as a consultant/trainer on-site for a large entertainment company. The only thing that surpasses my real world knowledge is my enthusiasm and engaging teaching technique – a winning combination in the classroom. I have also taught for almost every training company in Southern California at their training facilities, as well as representing them in facilitating on-site training for their clients. Sue S is a patient and knowledgeable tutor who has met and exceeded my expectations during every session. I would recommend her to anyone who needs to learn Excel from the simplest shortcuts to the most complex functions. I plan on working with her again and again.
I can highly recommend Sue for tutoring. She is punctual and professional, patient and helpful. I enjoyed our session together. Her teaching style is relaxed but still on point. I feel much more comfortable now with the skills that I was able to improve upon during our time. She offered helpful advice both for the information we were covering and for other areas I should focus on as well.
In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable, Sue is a patient and understanding teacher! I will be tutoring with Sue again!
I have the utmost respect for Sue S. in her ability to teach. There is nothing quite like her skills, patience, and encouraging ways. I didn't expect to enjoy Excel as much as I do now and I credit Sue for the fun in learning. I went from being intimidated to exhilarated because she studies how a person processes information and teaches accordingly. She is truly talented in connecting with her student's pace of learning and I credit my learning all to her. For me, there is no greater teacher than her and best of all, she is so genuine, kind, reliable, professional, and always upbeat. She anticipates what the student needs to work on and is always a step ahead, knowing if one needs to revisit steps before continuing onto the next lesson. She tailors each lesson to the individual. I'm so grateful for the difference she has made in my ability to learn and surpass what I thought wasn't possible.
Sue is very knowledgeable and patient. I would recommend her to anyone who is frustrated with some of the other online or classroom settings. She is a great one on one teacher. She is also genuinely concerned that I get the information.
Sue has been an amazing tutor for our staff - specifically with PowerPoint - and has been invited to return. She works at your pace and ensures her availability when coming to visit you. Aside from being extremely patient, her pleasantly friendly energy makes her very approachable, in turn, making the student feel confident.
She turns her phone off and makes sure you are her number one priority when offering you her time and expertise. I believe this is important as I have also had other tutors who do not do this and will answer calls, check texts, etc. while you are trying to learn.
I would recommend her to anyone from beginner-level to executive-level users out there looking to also keep their skills polished!! Her knowledge of PowerPoint was impressive and her style of teaching made us feel very comfortable.
Thank you Sue!!
Sue's amazing! Bright, pleasant, and fun. Getting ready to start a new job, wanted to feel more confident in Excel. She took what could have been a chore & turned into a fun learning experience. I got everything I needed in one 2 hour session. I feel so much more confident to start my new job!
Thanks so much, Melinda. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need future sessions!
I really appreciate the time Sue spent with me. It was short notice and she focused right where I needed for my job! She has very good people skills and will use her services again in the future.
I highly recommend to Sue to anyone wanting to know advanced functionality of Excel. We covered pivot tables in addition to her sharing many other tips and tricks. Sue is very patient, a great listener, but most important, completely knowledgeable about Excel.
Sue was excellent. She took me through a thorough review session and more of EXCEL. She was patient and knowledgeable about all things EXCEL. She was on-time and answered all my emails. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been teaching spreadsheet applications, including Excel, for longer than any other program. I have been fortunate enough to work primarily with people who are on the job or looking for jobs that require Excel knowledge; so I know first-hand what features businesses are using. This experience translates into real-world knowledge that I am happy to pass along to my students!
