Hi! I am currently an undergraduate student at Glendale Community College (although I got into UCLA and UC Berkeley, for financial reasons I opted for CC) and I am majoring in Electrical Engineering. I've also served as an intern at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena and at City of Burbank's Water and Power Engineering Dept.
I have been a tutor all throughout my 4 years at Burbank High School where I tutored Pre-Calculus, Algebra 1 and 2, all sciences, Calculus and even English and Phonics. I am also a certified tutor in the Burbank Public Library System. My area of expertise is Calculus and C++.
I'm a fun, easy going guy who loves Math and Computer Science and I want other people to both understand and see the beauty in Math. In high school, I maintained a 4.6 GPA, I was in our school's Math Club, and I took both the AP Calculus AB and BC tests and got 5's on both of them. I KNOW how to do well on tests and how to approach any type of Math problem and can teach these strategies to you.
In my opinion, the most important thing I can do for my students is to be patient. Math requires time and practice to achieve a deep level of understanding. It also requires SIMPLE explanations of key Math concepts. I believe that the problem that some teachers have is over complicating things in math. My teaching approach is easy to understand and clear.
So if you want to learn how to think like someone who get's A's on Math tests and learn all the tips and tricks that people who are good at Math know, as well as how to study effectively, then give me a try. You won't be disappointed!
