Credentialed Teacher can tutor students from 3rd to 12th grades

Hello,

I am a credentialed teacher with teaching experience. I have taught in both elementary, middle school and high school. I speak 3 languages,Spanish (in which I hold a credential) French and Italian (I am half Italian) I love working with children and I like helping them to understand concepts that are difficult for them. I have a wide experience of the world,having lived in many countries. I am a native of England but I have lived in the United States for a long time. I am now also a citizen of the USA. I love working with children of 3rd grade age all the way to 12th grade age. I can tutor a variety of subjects except Math. Math is not my strong point. Language is what I love. It can be so much fun to learn how to play with words, to learn how to communicate well with others in more than one language. It's also great fun for children to widen their vocabulary in their own language. Learning about the World through history is also a great way to understand our lives now. I love the way children look when they grasp a concept, or learn a new idea, or find a new way to understand an old idea. There is nothing that is more fun than teaching a child how to expand their knowledge.

Spanish

Learn how to communicate well in Spanish. It's fun and easy to learn this language. I have over 15 years of classroom experience teaching Spanish at all levels, and I have lived in Spain and Central America. I went to University in Salamanca and also in Managua, Nicaragua. Verbs, nouns adjectives can all be learned easily. It is also FUN!!!

English

English is the language that we speak most often. Learning how to read, write and communicate correctly is the most important thing you can do. Let me help you understand how to use English more effectictively so that you can communicate well, and in many cases write better essays, and raise your test scores.

ESL/ESOL

Learn English in a communicative way. Learn how to speak, read, and write fluently so that you can understand what is being said, and what is being said to you. Let me help you reach your goals.

Literature

Learn how to read meaning into works of literature, or simply learn how to read better than you do. Reading is a wonderful way to pass the time,and when you learn how to understand what is happening in the text, you become a more fluid reader. Learn about metaphor, simile, deeper meanings, foreshadowing, and personification. Knowing what is going on in a book, understanding the way that the author is writing will help you to understand the story being told in a more complete way.

World History

We no longer live in a small world. The world is our village. New technology brings us together as a human community more closely than ever. Learning the history of the world, knowing what happened in different regions of the world, helps us to understand our own world. Let me help you make sense of the facts, and teach you how to organize them so that you can present your work clearly and concisely.

Proofreading

This is a good subject to master. Learn how to read your work critically so that you can write better, and read more successfully. Look for ways to find errors and for ways to correct them. Proofreading is an awesome skill, and I can help you master it.

Spelling

Spelling is a challenge for many students. There are so many options that look right. Learn how to spell correctly, and improve your writing communication because of it.
