Hello parents/guardians, and students! My name is Angel, and I have been a licensed tutor for two years now (2010-12). I have an Associate Degree in Social and Behavioral Science (2011) from Mt. San Jacinto College in Menifee, California, and I am currently a Junior Bruin, majoring in Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition to my background of study, I have an extensive background in both US and World History/Civilizations. I am also proficient in elementary English, Math, and Science. I have held a certificate in child care occupations since 2006 and have over 200 hours experience working with children in educational settings. I am a serious college student, and take education very seriously. It is my goal to see to it that the children I work with learn how they remember information best and learn to love learning, hence building their confidence, all the while, allowing them to go at the pace that best suits them. I prefer working with elementary school children in 2nd-6th grade, but I do have lesson plans for younger children as well.
